Lets start with the introduction, on the left you have my future wife Heather Lewis. |
And by now I'm sure that you all know who I am. |
Well I guess I should start by bringing everyone up to speed on how all this came to be. It all started this summer when I returned to work at TE-CO (a factory back home) and realized that a new employee was on board. For a couple of weeks we played the eye contact games and made the small flirtatious comments until finally I couldn't wait anymore, so I asked her if she wanted to go out sometime. For me, just getting up the nerve to ask was a victory . The icing on the cake came when she said YES!!! From that night on it seemed that we were never meant to be apart so . . . we never were. Heather and I spent every possible moment together and it didn't take me long to realize that I was very much in love with her. After about two of the greatest months of my life I new that Heather was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We've been engaged for about a month and a half. |
The summer vacation, as we're driving to the campgrounds the alternator on the truck died. Kind of a stressful start but as you can see from our faces as we stand behind the disabled vehicle. . . we hardly even noticed. |
Well, we finally made it to the campground and settled in to our luxury accommodations. For anyone who has never camped out in a teepee, I recommend that you try it. Yes, even if you aren't the outdoors type. |
|
Nothing like a campfire to warm you up when you manage to misplace your boots. |
Then again there is always one thing that seems to warm me up better than anything else. |
Have you ever seen somebody so happy to see such a shitty fishin hole! But seriously, the scenery was nice but I think I probably had a better chance of catching fish out of my bathtub. |
The trip eventually came to a close. So we packed up the truck and headed for home. |
And even that proved to be a pretty good time. |
|
In closing I can only say that this an d all the other events of the summer made me feel as though I was living on the front porch of heaven. I love Heather more than anything in this world and it kills me to be so far away from her while I'm going to school. The weekend always takes forever to get here and when it does, it never stays long. All this in mind, I still have faith that we'll make it. |
Just to keep you up to date. Congratulations!!! It's a BOY!!!! |
